Application screenupdating not working vba Free 1on1 chat webcam
So from my viewpoint Screen Updating is not working correctly. This is an issue because when activating some sheets, I am doing things in the background that have been "Hidden" to this point but with screenupdating all ways "on" the user will see everything. When I have a final version of my code I always write up the detail, with comment, in a separate Word Document - just what I do for sensitive workbooks I will test the code as quickly as I can Thanks I have run the code and it successfully extracts the data for filters 1 and 2 but for filter 3 the results are corrupted in that it appears not to be looping through each sheet, that has content, 7 seven times also the extracts are incomplete.Whereas previously the flickering caused by seeing the sheets as the code was working through has gone now it flickers between a blank excel sheet and my screen-saver. There were only 4 de-bugs - surprisingly few considering you had nothing to validate with I do appreciate the difficulty of your trying to this 'in the dark' and I would understand if you feel this is too constrained. When the user selects the sheet (Using a Radio Button) a procedure is run that selects the sheet and activates it. Screen Updating = False, then some code runs which sets up the sheet and activates it. Now after some investigating I realized that Excel was not done activating the sheet so if I wait long enough the sheet might display. The last statement of the procedure sets Application. Now if I remove the Screen Updating statements from the code then the sheet is displayed correctly and usually in a short period of time. Screen Updating = True Exit Sub Err_Exit: Msg Box Err. Number End Sub If you don't want to have the flicker as the documents are opened, open the documents invisibly. Paste And Format (wd List Combine With Existing List) ' The above inserts a line which creates a second page, so delete a line after Selection. Delete Unit:=wd Character, Count:=1 Active Document. Close Save Changes:=wd Save Changes Next Set doc To Open = Nothing: Set Doc = Nothing ' Switch Screen updates back on Application.
Hi all, Before I start, I will admit I posted this in a forum that helps me a lot with another Office product, but as of this post they were not able to shed any light on this issue. I have tried moving the code to another procedure and doing Screen Updating = False Call Routine Screen Updating = True This has not worked.I tried adding Doevents after the screenupdating statements and that has not worked either.I'm seeing a lot of posts about issues with Excel 2013 repainting the screen after running a macro but I have not seen a clear resolution to what I have been experiencing.I have an existing workbook (which worked perfectly fine in 2010) and in the main sheet of the workbook there is an index of existing sheets for the user to select. If I switch from Excel to say Outlook and then return to Excel the selected sheet is repainted correctly.
